What was the highlight of Canifor Hotel
Disappointing, time away from hotel noise was enjoyable. Hotel & facilities not.
The location, food and the room were okay.
The room was on the 5th floor below the roof with the kitchen fans sited directly above our room, they started at 530 in the morning. The Booking.com photograph of the hotel is completely outdated. There has been another building built adjacent to the pool blocking all sunlight from the pool terrace. There were extensive building works being carried out near to the the pool terrace and the pool was taped off with red and white tape. No one used the pool or the poolside area as it was used to move building materials via an overhead crane from the hotel to the building works next door. It was very noisy as you would expect building works and a large overhead crane to be. On the roof terrace the adjacent building swung their building materials overhead to get them into situ, this was not a safe and pleasant environment to relax in. The Jaccuzi was empty with dirty water at the bottom in a building site environment. Dirty, sewage smelling liquid was also leaking from the tanks on the roof, running underneath the sunbeds.

The buffet food was tasty.
Stayed HB, no drink to be had with evening meal. You need to order via a waiter/ress to order a drink. It's not offered. We only wanted a glass of water but €2.80. Can't take water into the restaurant.
Bathrooms are very tired, bath rusting through, no plugs and mould due to no extractor.
Mattress could do with being replaced I could feel every spring in mine, my partners was better (had a twin single bed room).

I didn't like the lift for the handicap, it was on a platform which was about 2" high at one side and level with the door from the hotel. The otherr side. The controls were at the side so you had to go to the door of the lift.around the front. I moved to do this and caught my foot because of the platform and had a very nasty fall, I am still suffering, 5 weeks now. Please tell the hotel to dp somethimg about this.
